CISIANS’ English-Journalist Qualifies to Regional Competition

      Sakura Tamban of 8 Anthurium secured her chance to compete for the National Press Conference and Competition in Vigan City, next year, after clinching the 9^th spot on the recently held Division Press Conference and Competition at Parang Elementary School (PES) last September 14, 2018.

This year’s competition’s theme is: “Fostering 21^st Century Skills and Character-Based Education through Campus Journalism”. Trishia Garcia placed 10^th in Feature writing; Angelica Grueso placed 4^th in Photo-Journalism, and Jerome and Jhay-f Rosopa both for Editorial Cartooning placed 3^rd and 2^nd respectively. Top ten winners will have a chance to compete on the regional level, however, only one student per category - per school is allowed to proceed to the Regional Level competition. This would mean that in editorial cartooning only one will be allowed to join. After deliberation and consultation, it was decided that Jhay-f Rosopa will represent the school on the upcoming event.
