Concepcion Integrated School welcomes new principal

Concepcion Integrated School (CIS) is pleased to announce Ms. Mita A. Abergos as its new principal. Ms. Abergos, who was welcomed this afternoon June 17th, arrived to Concepcion Integrated School (CIS) from Barangka National High School (BNHS) in the first district of Marikina. Prior to her tenure in BNHS, MS. Abergos enjoyed over 20 successful years as a teacher. She quipped in her extemporaneous speech during a short turnover ceremony that she felt happy being back to her former school where she started teaching in 1992. She also took the chance to bid farewell to her colleagues from BNHS where she has been a principal for the last six years.

While Ms. Abergos is an experienced leader with a track record of success, she stood out to her colleagues as a person of integrity whose respectful, caring, and confident demeanor inspires and reassures students and teachers alike. Public school division supervisor and a close friend of Ms. Abergos, Dr. Nancy E. Suegay shared the following: “Ms. Mita is has been a sister to me for quite some time now, and she is the most genuine, authentic, calm, and dignified colleague I have worked with as an educator”. We can’t wait for the CIS community to meet Ms. Abergos and we’re excited about the addition of this exemplary leader to our schools.

Ms. Abergos replaces the out-going CIS principal-mentee Dr. Gemo Parajas, who will be taking on a new role as an officer-in-charge of Barangka National High School starting next week. Mr. Parajas has enthusiastically served CIS’ K-12 population for a year under the guidance of his mentor and officer-in-charge of the office of the principal of CIS, Dr. Nancy E. Suegay. Meanwhile, Dr. Nancy E. Suegay will be resuming her post as the division district supervisor after serving CIS for a period of six months.

In his new leadership position, Mr. Parajas hopes to serve his new school assignment, helping the students to reach their highest potential, and increase their personal fulfillment. Mr. Parajas thanked the students and teachers of CIS for their love and support. We are thrilled that Mr. Parajas will continue to work with the learners and our the community in this new capacity!
